Deadline: December 15, annually

Eligibility: Open to Canadian citizens or landed immigrants. For the author of a English language play for adults. All entries must have been first published (singly or in a collection), or performed in the previous calendar year.

Further Details: There is a fee of $35 per title entered. Entered titles must have been published in the year prior to the award year: for example, for the 2006 awards, in 2005. Five copies of the book or script are required. Awards are presented at a Literary Awards Banquet which concludes the CAA's annual conference in June each year. The banquet is preceded by a reading supported by the Canada Council for the Arts.
