Science in Society Journalism Awards
Deadline: March 15, 2011
Eligibility: Newspaper or magazine articles, radio or television pieces, articles in trade and special publications, and books for adults and children dealing with science during the calendar year. Entries in each category may cover research and development, regulatory trends or social issues. They are judged generally on the basis of initiative, originality, clarity of interpretation and value in promoting better understanding of science by the public. All winning entries must pass a technical review for scientific accuracy.
Value: $1,000 in each of the 11 categories; $750 Herb Lampert Student Writing Award.
