This position, Marketing and Social Media Coordinator, will help spread the word about our great programs including npCloud and ITWorks. You will be helping us to build a strong brand globally, be part of the catalyst for our fast growth, and help support our growing communities by engaging our clients and partners through: educational material development, webinars, social media, and e-mail distribution.

You will also add value to relevant discussions happening all over the web by providing thoughtful and helpful responses. By building trust among nonprofits and various partner organizations, we’ll get the help that’s needed to the people who need it most.

Role Description

NPowerPA has two vital and growing programs that this role will primarily support: npCloud.org and ITWorks.org. Using low-cost, high-engagement marketing techniques, the role will be responsible for:

npCloud.org - growing the number of nonprofits we work with, building our on-line community through multiple marketing channels, positively growing our reputation on-line, responding in a timely manner to mentions and questions, adding true value to discussions all over the web, stewarding the relationships we’ve developed with partner organizations, being a catalyst for revenue growth, and providing timely customer service.

ITWorks.org – supporting our community of volunteers, providing timely updates on the progress of the program, uniting past alumni, keeping donors informed and stewarding funding relationships publicly, positively growing our reputation on-line, and responding in a timely manner to mentions and questions.

Responsibilities& Qualifications

Responsible for daily posts/tweets to all applicable social media outlets. Other duties include coordinating the marketing calendar with online activity, tracking social media influence measurements, partnering with other departments to ensure proper online messaging and relevancy, ensuring consistency of messages across multiple networks, preparing reports to update internal staff on usage statistics, and continuous monitoring and coverage of all sites. The right candidate will have a degree in marketing, journalism, or new media, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills (including proofreading), and have expert knowledge of social media networking channels.

Maintain, update, nurture and communicate through multiple social media channels.
Build, research, write, and edit content for multiple on-line channels.
Be an advocate for outstanding customer service (think Zappos)
Maintain and add relevant content to three websites (please know HTML and be able to modify graphics)
Be capable and confident using all of the tools necessary to develop content for the web
