United Transportation Union - Canada
The United Transportation Union was formed in 1969 by a merger of four railroad operating unions. Ten thousand of the 80,000 members are Canadian and mostly come from the ranks of railroad workers who operate the trains such as conductors, train, yard and engine service employees. The union also represents bus employees.
The quarterly publication, UTU News Canada, has a circulation of approximately 12,000.
