The Canadian Red Cross Society is part of a worldwide humanitarian movement providing emergency relief and health and safety services. Internationally, the Canadian Red Cross supports disaster relief and development projects. In Canada, the Society provides blood and blood products to Canadian hospitals and clinics, and operates Emergency Services and Safety Services, including first aid, small craft and water safety. The Society also operates community-based programs including Homemakers, Sickroom Equipment Loan Service, and seniors' and veterans' services.
