News Release Italian community in Ottawa
says "addio" to Luciano Pavarotti September 14, 2007 Ottawa, September 13, 2007 The Emiliani Association of Ottawa (L'Associazione Emiliani di Ottawa) is holding a memorial mass in honour of the late Luciano Pavarotti, at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, 427 Booth St., on Saturday, October 6, at 5:00 pm. The Italian Canadian community especially the members of the Emiliani Association of Ottawa are saddened by the loss Modena's favorite son who was also a citizen of the world and a voice for humanity. The Association invites the Ottawa community to share in their sorrow. The Association is making available a book of condolences for those who wish to send words of comfort to the Pavarotti family and the people of Modena. The book is in the lobby of Villa Marconi, Long Term Care Centre, 1026 Baseline Road, Ottawa. L' Associazione Emiliana di Ottawa represents Italian-Canadians who originate from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. Some of the cities in this region include Pavarotti's hometown of Modena as well as Bolgona, Parma, Picenza, Ferrara, Reggio Emilia, Ravenna etc.
