Can-Fit-Pro Announces Agreement
with Its My Bod - Healthy Activity Rewards Program
May 15, 2006 -- For Immediate Release
(Toronto) Canadian Fitness Professionals, Inc. (Can-Fit-Pro) www.canfitpro.com
announced today it is endorsing the Its My Bod, Inc. - Healthy Activity
Rewards Program www.ItsMyBod.com. Can-Fit-Pro will actively promote
the Its My Bod - Healthy Activity Rewards Program to Canadian Fitness
Clubs, Independent Fitness Professionals and other related Fitness
Businesses.
The goal of the Its My Bod - Healthy Activity Rewards Program is
to significantly increase the number of fitness conscious consumers
in order to REVERSE the alarming increases in the rates of diabetes
and heart disease that are direct results of the current overweight
and obesity crisis. Affiliates that make the Healthy Activity Rewards
Program available to their consumers, customers, employees, members,
subscribers, etc. are essential to making our mutual goal a reality.
The Program promotes greater fitness awareness by providing adults
and children with rewards based incentives to motivate them to exercise
regularly and watch their diets. Membership costs about $7 CAD ($5
USD) per month for individuals and about $11 CAD ($8 USD) per month
for families (up to 9 members of the same household).
Members are motivated to maintain a Healthy Lifestyle by receiving
reward points for registering their Workouts and other Healthy Activities
into their accounts on www.ItsMyBod.com. Members receive positive
reinforcement when they Redeem points for Merchandise, Dining and
Travel Rewards with local and national participating Airlines, Health
Clubs, Hotels, Restaurants, and Retailers.
Family Memberships enable K-12 students to participate by giving
them their own personal accounts to accrue and redeem reward points.
School children earn points with after-school sports activities
such as baseball, basketball, football, golf, hockey, soccer, tennis,
etc., while other family members earn their own points for their
Gym Workouts and other Healthy Activities that are all redeemable
for the same prizes. The program is fun and promotes "healthy
competition" among family members to earn greater rewards by
continuing to maintain their Healthy Activities and Lifestyles.
Much of the excitement about the Program is about how easy and
fast it is to register points and redeem rewards. The wide variety
of Healthy Activities eligible for reward points makes the program
attractive to everyone. Members register their Healthy Activities
and calorie intake into their accounts and can accrue up to 18 points
per day based on the duration of their Healthy Activities and for
calorie intake below 2,500 calories per day. Members also receive
points for having a Health Club / Gym Membership. Points are not
difficult to earn and entry level award redemption such as a $25
Gift Card to Best Buy is only 500 points. Members realizing less
than the maximum daily point accrual can still receive very significant
rewards valued at considerably more than their cost of membership.
"Its My Bod - Healthy Activity Rewards is the first program
to actually create tangible incentives for active as well as reluctant
exercisers," said Rod Macdonald, Can-Fit-Pro's Vice President,
"and ultimately our goal is to positively influence the exercise
habits of all Canadians."
"Finally, Exercise has its Rewards! As Can-Fit-Pro's Certified
Trainers, Fitness Equipment and Health Club subscribers become Affiliates
of the Its My Bod - Healthy Activity Rewards Program it will bring
the program's benefits to millions of people throughout Canada,"
said Richard Decker, Founder / CEO of Its My Bod. Can-Fit-Pro's
customers and subscribers will be receiving details on specially
negotiated benefits for joining the program.
"Can-Fit-Pro's endorsement and promotion of the Its My Bod
- Healthy Activity Rewards Program through their extensive Canadian
fitness network creates a Win-Win situation by promoting fitness
and healthy diet in tandem with Its My Bod providing members with
Merchandise, Dining and Travel Rewards. This will speed up achieving
our common goal of reversing Canada's increasing rates of heart
disease and diabetes," said Beverley Burdeyney, Canadian Director,
Its My Bod. Contact: Bev@ItsMyBod.com, 416-781-8033.
