ECO Canada Announces Winners
of
Environmental Employer of the Year Awards

TORONTO ECO Canada announced today the winners of its inaugural
Environmental Employer of the Year awards. The awards recognize
companies that demonstrate outstanding human resource and business
management practices and policies within the Canadian environmental
profession.
The Delphi Group of Ottawa, Ontario was this years winner
in the small- to medium-sized company category, while Golder Associates
Ltd. was the winner in the large company category.
Its critical to the growth of the environmental profession
that we recognize companies that can be referred to as employers
of choice, says Grant Trump, President and CEO of ECO Canada.
The Employer of the Year Awards allow qualified workers to
narrow their job search to include only the best companies.
The winners were unveiled during the closing luncheon of ECO Canada
Conference 2006, ECO Canadas inaugural environmental sector
conference, which was held this year in Toronto. The two-day conference
was designed to help environmental professionals identify upcoming
environmental business opportunities, define strategies to secure
new ventures, and showcase timely human resource best practices
and case studies to promote business growth.
ECO Canada is a national, not-for-profit organization that helps
to strengthen the Canadian economy by providing a critical link
between industrys need for qualified environmental practitioners
and those looking for career and skills development in the environment
profession.
