in Support of Project S.H.A.R.E

Enter the Inaugural Candy Cane Lane 5k Race & Family Fun Run

Niagara Falls, ON

Join us for the inaugural Candy Cane Lane 5k Race & Family Fun Run in support of Project S.H.A.R.E. to be held on Sunday, December 11, 2005. The 5k Race is a competitive run that begins at the Best Western Cairn Croft Hotel and travels east down Lundy's Lane, south onto Drummond Rd., west onto Ker St., south on Franklin Ave., west on Barker St., north on Carlton Ave., west on Spence St., north on Dorchester St., and returning back to Lundy's Lane to the Best Western Cairn Croft. This route will be traveled two times to complete the five kilometer race. The Entry Fee is $25 and each participant will receive a commemorative, long-sleeve t-shirt and an Americana Resort & Spa Waves Water Park Pass.

The Family Fun Run provides everyone the opportunity to participate in outdoor activities while raising pledges in support of a great cause. Participants are encouraged to walk, run, ski or sled the 2.5 km route with their family, friends, pets and neighbours.

Registration for the Family Fun Run is $10 per participant or $25 for a family of four (4). In exchange, each participant will receive a commemorative long-sleeve t-shirt. Additionally, each Family Fun Run participant that secures $50 in pledges for Project S.H.A.R.E. will receive a Winter Festival of Lights scarf and lunch tickets. While those raising $100 in pledges will receive a Winter Festival of Lights scarf, lunch tickets and an Americana Resort & Spa Waves Water Park Pass.

"This is a collaborative effort between the organizers of the Winter Festival of Lights and Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort International Marathon, to do our part in supporting the outstanding efforts of Project S.H.A.R.E. in our community," indicated Ethel White-Ashby, Winter Festival of Lights Chair.

Awards will be presented at the Post Run Luncheon held in the Oakes Room and Courtyard of the Best Western Cairn Croft Hotel for the winners in various age categories. The Post Run Luncheon will also include live music and children's activities. Tickets will be available for the purchase of food and beverages at various stations within the Best Western Cairn Croft.

About the Winter Festival of Lights
The 23rd annual Winter Festival of Lights in Niagara Falls, Ontario is a two-month festival operating from November 4, 2005 to January 2, 2006, which includes spectacular animated lighting displays, illuminated night parades, fireworks, children's shows, and many other events and activities.
