Each year, Moorelands Community Services offers the opportunity to assist a Toronto family living in poverty. Unlike any other program in the city, Moorelands Community Services has a uniquely personalized Christmas Sharing Program. By matching families to generous donors, Moorelands provides you with a profile that includes first names of the children, their ages, gender, interests and hobbies as well as a list of gift suggestions. By adopting a family you'll experience joy in knowing that you have made the holidays that much more special for a family in need.

Moorelands has designed a fun and interactive Christmas sharing program. You start by creating a shopping list, heading out to the stores and returning to Moorelands midtown office bearing gifts for your adopted family. The total cost of providing Christmas to your adopted family ranges from $200 - $400.

Over 90 years ago, Moorelands Community Services began providing generous Christmas hampers to Toronto families living in poverty. In addition to their Christmas Sharing program, Moorelands sends hundreds of kids to camp every summer in the Haliburton Highlands. Additionally they offer city programs that include after-school, leadership and summer day camp programs for hundreds of children living in under-served, high needs Toronto neighbourhoods.

Each year hundreds of individuals, employee groups, businesses and families endeavour to make a difference during a time of year that can be terribly challenging for families living in poverty. This season, Moorelands has already adopted families to Air Canada, Loblaw Brands, KPMG, Canwest New Media and the Trillium Group-to name just a few.

Moorelands does not receive any government funding: instead they rely on the support of individuals, families, foundations, businesses and faith groups.
