Sara Moulton plans to attend the 2004 Niagara Wine & Food Classic

Niagara Falls, Ontario (April 19, 2004) - Gourmet Magazine, one of North America's premier culinary magazines returns as the presenting partner of the Niagara Wine & Food Classic. Sara Moulton, Gourmet's Executive Chef will be participating at the Classic and is "thrilled to be part of this year's event. The beautiful wine country, the unforgettable site of the falls, some of North America's best chefs and a spectacular array of wines...could there be a better way to spend a weekend?"

Sara has been with Gourmet since 1988 and is a veteran television food personality, currently seen on the Food Network show, Sara's Secrets. If she sounds familiar it's because Sara was on ABC-TV's "Good Morning America" as their on-air food correspondent in 1997 and had her own cooking show, Cooking Live, on The Food Network for six years.

Mark Hand, Corporate Chef of the Niagara Culinary Institute and one of the partners of the Niagara Wine & Food Classic believes that the event is "a great opportunity for us to showcase our Canadian culinary talent. Sara has never been to the Niagara Wine & Food Classic, and I know she is going to be overwhelmed by the level of culinary excellence at the event."

While finalizing plans for Sara's attendance, Caroline Atherton, VP of Niagara Falls Tourism had the opportunity to meet Sara for the first time. "She has this amazing array of stories from the culinary world that span her extremely impressive career. She is going to be a spectacular addition to our culinary line up and we are honored to welcome her to Niagara Falls this September."

The Niagara Wine & Food Classic takes place September 10-12, 2004, in Niagara Parks, Queen Victoria Park. Take in the aromas of international and local wines while savoring exquisite culinary creations. Enjoy vineyard explorations, grand tastings, wine seminars, winemakers dinners and chef demonstrations by renowned chefs from across North America.

Noel Buckley, President of Falls Tourism and host of the Niagara Wine & Food Classic explains that the event is part of a larger wine and culinary strategy. "Although the event is still very young, we have had the opportunity to welcome wineries and chefs from around the world to our destination. Wine and food is a way of life in Niagara, and we enjoy the bounty of the Niagara Region all year long. This event is our chance to invite the world to come help us celebrate."

Sara's Secrets airs Monday through Friday on The Food Network at 10:00 am, 10:30 am, 4:30 pm, and 7:00 pm. Plus, catch episodes every Saturday at 9:30 am and Sunday at 8:00 am. All times ET/PT.
