Young Drivers of Canada Offers Tips to Make Summer
Driving Safe and Enjoyable for Canadians
More Canadians die in vehicle crashes in the summer that at any
other time of the year. To help drivers avoid being involved in
a collision, Young Drivers of Canada has produced Summer Travel
Safety Tips that if followed, will help keep Canadian families safe
while driving this summer.
Peter Christianson, President of Young Drivers of Canada says:
"Most of us tend to be a little more cautious on the roads
during the winter months when in fact you actually have a greater
chance of being involved in a collision during the summer. Statistics
from Transport Canada show us that a higher percentage of casualties
occur on our roadways in the summer months when there are more vehicles
on the road. Aggressive driving, fatigue and alcohol are often implicated
in these tragedies."
The following are just a few of the Summer Travel Safety Tips provided
by Young Drivers of Canada to help Canadian families have a safe,
relaxed and enjoyable summer vacation. For a complete list of tips
