Description: The Atkinson Fellowship in Public Policy, established in 1988, is an award designed to further the tradition of liberal journalism and commitment to social and economic justice fostered by Joseph E. Atkinson, former publisher of The Toronto Star. The successful applicant will pursue a year-long research project on a topical public policy issue and the results will be published as a series of articles in The Toronto Star, which the journalist is then free to develop into a book.
