The CCAC oversees the ethical care and use of animals in science across Canada through the work of veterinarians, scientists and the public. It publishes guidelines, policies and informational documents, assesses scientific institutions using animals, and provides institutions which satisfy its standards with the CCAC Certificate of GAP - Good Animal Practice®.

Le CCPA surveille le soin et l'utilisation éthiques des animaux en science au Canada grâce au travail de vétérinaires, scientifiques et membres du public. Il publie des lignes directrices, politiques et documents d'information, évalue les institutions scientifiques utilisant des animaux, et fournit aux institutions qui satisfont à ses normes le Certificat de Bonnes pratiques animales - BPAMD du CCPA.
