Fur-Bearer Defenders, formerly "The Fur-Bearers," is a non-profit Society founded in 1944 to stop trapping cruelty and protect fur-bearing animals. We have earned a solid reputation for providing specialist trapping information and resources to the media, government, activists, groups and the public. We are now also very involved in the dog and cat fur issue.
