'Specials of the Day'
The Niagara Wine & Food Classic
announces the 2004 culinary line-up

Niagara Falls, Ontario- The third annual Niagara Wine & Food Classic is ready to host North America's hottest chefs. On the menu this year is Canadian Susur Lee, one of the top chefs in the world today. The return of Susur to Toronto and the consequent opening of Susur in August 2000, heralded Lee into the halls of culinary fame. The Classic is proud to showcase this world class chef, named a "culinary genius" by Zagat.

Joining Susur in the cooking demonstrations is a stellar lineup of unique and extraordinary chefs from across North America including Michael Bonacini of the famed Oliver Bonacini Restaurants in Toronto, Tony de Luca of Hillebrand Estates Winery Restaurant, Niagara on the Lake, Ris Lacoste of 1789, Washington, Rick Moonen of rm, New York, Mark Picone of Mark Picone at Vineland Estates, Vineland, and Arnold Eric Wong of EOS and Bacar, San Francisco. Returning to the Classic as an Event Ambassador and Demonstration Host is Anna Olson renowned pastry chef and star of Food Network Canada's Sugar. To complete this extraordinary lineup of culinary sensations is Sara Moulton, Gourmet Magazine's Executive Chef.

The cooking demonstrations will be held throughout the weekend of September 10-12, 2004 on site at beautiful Niagara Parks, Queen Victoria Park with the Niagara Falls in the backdrop. The demonstrations are as unique as the Chefs leading them and the guests welcome the chance to take a tip or two back home.

Each year, Classic goers are dazzled by the culinary creations sampled at the Grand Tastings. The tastings provide an additional opportunity to spotlight the creativity of area chefs - such as Claudio Mollica of Casa Mia, Jason Rosso of Peller Estates Winery, and Eric Peacock of Wellington Court- who introduce the newcomer to the scope and uniqueness of regional foods.
One enthusiastic attendee stated - "We knew we would taste great wine, but the quality of the food was a highlight." - New York, NY

Guests attending the Niagara Wine & Food Classic are just as impressed with the state-of-the-art cooking demonstrations, as with the vineyard explorations, winemakers dinners and the wine seminars. Niagara Wine & Food Classic Event Coordinator Heidi Werner, explains "We are extremely excited about this year's culinary talent and are in the process of announcing a new wine program to be led by an equally talented ensemble of wine educators".
