Deadline: December 31, annually

Eligibility: All entries must be published in Canada in the previous calendar year. Authors/Illustrators must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants.

Value: The winners receive a plaque and a cheque for $ 1000.

Description: A detailed list of the 3 Canadian Library Association Book Awards presented is as follows: Book of the Year for Children Award-- Any work that is an act of creative writing shall be deemed eligible regardless of published format, including anthologies and collections. Nominations should be sent to: Rachel Seigel, Chair Educan Media Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Illustrator's Award-- Awarded to an outstanding illustrator of a children's book published in Canada during 2013. The Award shall be bestowed upon books that are suitable for children up to and including age 12.
