Heywood Broun Award


Deadline: Last Friday in January, annually

Eligibility: The award will be given for work published between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31 of the previous year. Employees of newspapers, news services, magazines and radio and TV stations in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico are eligible, whether Guild members or not. Managers are not eligible. Publications and other employers as such, or entries on behalf of an entire staff of a publication or employer, are not eligible. Applicants may submit entries for themselves or others.

Value: $5,000 to the winning entry.
