Radio-Television News Directors Association Awards

Deadline: January 31, annually

Eligibility: The competition is open to all radio and television stations, networks and national or regional broadcast news agencies in Canada. Entries must have been broadcast in the previous year.

Value: Nothing enhances a news operation's credibility with listeners and viewers like the statement "award winning." While other competitions give numerous awards that dilute their value, the RTNDA Awards are given to the precious few who have truly demonstrated excellence in electronic journalism. When a news organization receives an RTNDA Award, it builds teamwork, promotes cohesiveness and boosts morale -- vital components for any successful news operation.
