Edward Goff Penny Memorial Prizes
Deadline: January, annually
Eligibility: Journalists aged 25 and under are eligible to submit four articles from the previous year in one of the following newspaper categories: circulation under 25,000 and circulation 25,000 and over.
Value: $1,500 for each category.

Description: This award was established by a bequest in memory of the late Honourable Edward Goff Penny, former Montreal Herald publisher and the first newspaperman apppointed to the Senate. This competition is open only to those who have written for a Canadian daily newpaper that is a member of CNA in a calendar year.
