Canadian Security Intelligence Service
The Canadian Security Intelligence Service was created in 1984 by an Act of Parliament. Its primary mandate is to collect and analyse information about threats to the security of Canada as defined in the CSIS Act and report those findings to the Government of Canada. CSIS is headquartered in Ottawa and has offices in most major Canadian cities.
