Ontario Waste Management Corporation The Ontario Waste Management Corporation is the provincial crown agency responsible for implementing a waste management system for Ontario's liquid industrial and hazardous wastes. OWMC is not a regulatory agency, nor is it responsible for domestic garbage or nuclear wastes. OWMC actively promotes pollution prevention and sustainable development through industrial waste reduction, by providing technical information and advice to firms on waste reduction, reuse and recycling. OWMC is also proposing to construct a technologically-advanced hazardous waste treatment and disposal facility in the township of West Lincoln. The proposal is currently awaiting approval.
