Billy Graham and David Mainse Recognized for their Lifetimes of Integrity

September 16, 2008

Elmira, ON–The Canadian Council of Christian Charities (CCCC) will host an evening celebration to honour Dr. Billy Graham, founder of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (Calgary AB) and Rev. David Mainse, founder of Crossroads Christian Communications (Burlington ON), on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at the Coast Plaza Hotel in Calgary, Alberta for their lifetimes of integrity.

As part of the evening, Sheila Rowe, former co-host of CBC radio's "The Calgary Eyeopener" and former senior producer and host of "Top Story" for the Crossroads Television System in Alberta will interview David Mainse and Will Graham, Billy Graham´s grandson.

According to John Pellowe, the CEO of the Canadian Council of Christian Charities, the public has a right to expect that charities will operate with the highest integrity. "With these awards, we are expressing our appreciation to two Christian leaders who each exemplified the highest integrity while running a charity for more than forty years. Virtually all charities do operate with integrity and it is important to affirm that integrity."

CCCC hopes that by honouring these two prominent leaders, other charity leaders will be encouraged to stay accountable, both personally and organizationally, so that their charities will be worthy of the public's respect and trust.

CCCC is an association of nearly 3,000 member charities located in Elmira, ON that provides specialized help for the support and leadership functions of Christian charities and certifies charities that meet its standards of accountability.
