The winning team also received a $1,000 cheque to be donated to United Way Ottawa - their chosen charity.

* The Award of Excellence for Comptrollership in the Public Sector showcases shining examples of innovative thinking, best practice development, thought-leadership and strategic insight. “These qualities are central to enhancing productivity and financial performance in the Federal Government,” said Joy Thomas, MBA, FCMA, C.Dir., President and CEO, CMA Canada. “We congratulate our winners and nominees for demonstrating such excellence in public sector financial management.”

Also honoured was Rod Monette, FCA, MBA, B.Sc., Chair, Public Sector Accounting Board and former Comptroller General of Canada, who received the CMA-CIPFA Lifetime Achievement Award, and Ronald C.
