Hungry for Climate Leadership - Day 9 of Fast for Climate Justice on the Hill

'Hungry for Climate Leadership- Support Rolling In - Suzuki endorsesDay Nine of Climate Fast, Numbers Growing, NDP Environment Critic Pledges Support, Maude Barlow Signs, Suzuki Endorses
Our support is growing. Today as fasters entered the 9th day of our 12 day fast, David Suzuki pledged support. Megan Leslie, NDP environment critic has signed our large sized pledge board next to Elizabeth May's signature from Tuesday. (photo on line www.climatefast.ca) Maude Barlow has pledged her support.
David Suzuki:
"There is a willful blindness on the part of our government that deliberately ignores the threat of climate change for all Canadians. Canada, of all industrialized nations, is at greatest risk of climate change's catastrophic consequences for our melting Arctic regions, rising marine waters along our coasts, climate dependent resources like agriculture, forestry, fisheries, tourism and winter sports, and our economic future. Thank you for putting yourselves on the line to call for action of our government."
The Fast is supported by the Council of Canadians, the Sierra Club, and 34 other organizations.
