MP & Mayor Launch The New Talking Book Library

Stouffville Ontario saw the official launch of the Talking Book Library and its studios on Saturday 20th June 2015 at a reception for invited guests. MP Paul Calandra and Mayor Justin Altmann presented Talking Book Library with a plaque, speaking highly of the measures the Library was taking in order to accommodate the visually impaired and print disabled. Their opening speeches was followed by tours of the facilities and outdoor refreshments.
The Talking Book Library consists of a dedicated group of volunteers who read and digitally record audio books in both the English and Chinese (Cantonese) languages. The Library has over 2,000 Christian themed audio books recorded in the DAISY format, free for Canadians who are visually impaired and print disabled.
