
CWF Reminds Canadians to Nominate Nature Heroes for Awards

The Canadian Wildlife Federation reminds Canadians that its the final week to submit nominations for the national Conservation Achievement Awards. The deadline for applications is Jan. 31.
Each year countless Canadians of all ages demonstrate their commitment to wildlife conservation through active involvement. Their dedication contributes to the protection of our countrys natural heritage for the benefit and enjoyment of future generations. Nominations honour someone making a difference and raise awareness of important causes.
There are nine award categories.
Roland Michener Conservation Award: Conservation in Action
Roderick Haig-Brown Award: Conservation through Fisheries
Past Presidents Canadian Legislator Award : Canadian Legislators in Action
Doug Clarke Memorial Award: Outstanding Affiliate Conservation Project
Stan Hodgkiss Outdoorsperson of the Year Award: Canadian Outdoorsperson of the Year
Wade Luzny Youth Conservation Award : Youth in Action
Youth Mentor Award : Conservation Mentors
Robert Bateman Award: Conservation in the Arts
WILD Educator of the Year Award : Conservation through Education
The awards will be presented in June, 2018.
