Final call for nominations for the second annual Award of Excellence for Comptrollership in the Public Sector

The Society of Management Accountants of Canada (CMA Canada) and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) invite federal public servants to nominate colleagues and/or to self-nominate for the Award of Excellence for Comptrollership in the Public Sector.
The annual awards, consisting of a plaque and a $1,000 donation to a charity or scholarship fund of the winners choice, are conferred to federal public servants who have made a significant contribution to financial management and/or comptrollership within the Government of Canada.
In its second year, the Award of Excellence for Comptrollership in the Public Sector includes two award categories: (1) Innovation, and (2) Financial Leadership (CFO). In addition, consideration forms are being accepted for the CMA-CIPFA Lifetime Achievement Award, which is awarded at the discretion of the selection committee.
All nominations must be received by Friday, January 22, 2010. You may submit nominations via e-mail to email@example.com. Please note you can only submit one nomination per award category.
The 2010 recipients will be chosen by the selection committee and announced at the award ceremony being held on Monday, May 10, 2010, at the Fairmont Chteau Laurier in Ottawa.
A limited number of tickets will be available for the reception, dinner and award ceremony. Online registration will be made available in February.
