THANKS A MILLION!

May 3, 2010

Sarnia, Ontario (May 4th, 2010)—The Breast Cancer Society of Canada (BCSC) would like to thank Mark’s Work Wearhouse for their rewarding eight-year partnership, which has resulted in more than $1-million being gifted to breast cancer research initiatives across Canada!

“In raising this significant sum, Mark’s has shown all of Canada that it is committed to breast cancer research,” says Marsha Davidson, Executive Director of the BCSC. “Together we can play leading roles in the discovery of the cure.”

“We believe deeply in what the Breast Cancer Society of Canada strives to achieve every day in support of women across Canada,” said Michael Strachan, Senior Vice President, Merchandising, Mark’s Work Wearhouse. “Our work together over the years has been as beneficial to Mark’s as it has to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada, so to our friends at the BCSC we want to say thank you a million times over. We appreciate the loyalty and compassion of the Mark’s customers and staff.”

Canadians are asked to join together once again to help the BCSC and Mark’s raise even more funding dollars, by supporting Mark’s trademark semi-annual event, called Ladies Night—the key initiative to help the Canadian clothing icon break the $1-million mark.

Mark’s fashionable and popular event is being held on Thursday, May 6, from 5 p.m. until closing, offering customers 20% off storewide, including all regular and sale priced items. A $5 donation to the BCSC will be made for purchases totalling $65 or more (after discounts and before taxes) up to $50,000. (No minimum purchase necessary, not valid on marks.com, and does not apply to gift cards. Some stores open until 11 p.m., check local store for hours of operation.) Customers are also encouraged to make donations directly to the BCSC during this event.
