Description: Clio Awards -- Awarded to meritorious publications or for exceptional contributions by individuals or organisations to regional history. John Bullen Prize -- Honours the outstanding Ph.D. thesis on a historical topic submitted in a Canadian university by a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant. Wallace K. Ferguson Award -- Awarded annually to the best book in history other than Canadian. Sir John A. MacDonald Prize -- Awarded annually to the best book in Canadian history. François-Xavier Garneau Medal -- Awarded every five years, is the most prestigious of the CHA prizes. It honours an outstanding Canadian contribution to historical research. Albert B. Corey Prize -- Awarded every other year jointly with the American Historical Association to the best book in Canadian-American history. Hilda Neatby Prize in Women's History -- Recognises each year the best articles in French and English on women's history. Prize for the best article on the history of sexuality in Canada - The Canadian Committee on the History of Sexuality (CCHS), a subcommittee of the Canadian Historical Association, is pleased to announce a prize for the best article on the History of Sexuality in Canada. The CCHS prize is designed to recognize excellence in and encourage the growth of scholarly work in the burgeoning field of the history of sexuality in Canada. Journal Prize The CHA awards a prize for the best essay published each year in the Journal of the Canadian Historical Association. The adjudication committee consists of the editorial board and a representative from the CHA Council, assisted by comments received through the peer review process.
