Description: Awards for best crime writing published in the preceding year in the following categories: novel in English or in French (separate categories), first novel, true crime (non-fiction), short story, juvenile, genre criticism or reference, play and film scripts or electronic media duly performed or published. Crime is defined as crime, detective, espionage, mystery, suspense, and thriller fiction or non-fiction.
