A former political aide, Allan has been a contributor to Marketing Magazine, Law Times, Bout de Papier, Internal Communications Focus, Canadian Corporate Counsel, The Globe and Mail, The Ottawa Citizen, The Calgary Herald and The National Post. His regular commentaries can be heard on the Internet radio network, PSRN.com, and read in Virginia-based Winning Campaigns, the largest circulation political magazine in the world. His critically acclaimed books Media Relations and Doing and Saying the Right Thing are highly sought after by educational institutions and communications professionals.
Allan's newest book is titled Political Columns: Behind the Scenes with Powerful People.
Dr. Allan Bonner has helped approximately 25,000 senior executives, over twenty years, to deal with some of the most controversial and public issues of our time. He has worked with 8 heads of government, 35 cabinet ministers, G7 and UN delegations, the WTO, NATO, as well as CEOs and diplomats around the world. His clients are on five continents.
He was the first North American to obtain a post-graduate degree in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management, and has studied dispute resolution at Harvard University and Osgoode Hall Law School. Allan conducts research and lectures one day per week. He currently teaches graduate research and writing at Osgoode Hall Law School and has taught "Damage Control" at York University.
