Young ‘Einsteins’ Can Attend Summer Science Camps in Canada

January 29, 2007

Budding young physicists, age 16 and 17, can now apply to attend the “International Summer School for Young Physicists” (ISSYP) at Perimeter Institute in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

100 students from across Canada and around the world will be challenged by some of the most fascinating ideas about how the universe works - from the weird quantum world of atoms to black holes, warped spacetime and the expanding universe. Participation includes classes and small group mentoring sessions with the international scientists at Perimeter Institute. Lab tours, social events and other activities make this a life changing experience for highly motivated students.

This summer's ISSYP dates and application details are available online at www.youngphysicists.ca. For additional information, including media inquiries, please contact RenÉe Ellis at rellis@perimeterinstitute.ca or by phone at (519) 569-7600 ext. 5040

Canada's Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, located just outside Toronto, Ontario, is a non-profit scientific research and educational outreach organization dedicated to the understanding of space, time,
matter and information.
