The Excellence in Journalism Award
At the end of its first decade, the Excellence in Journalism Award
has gained credibility and status as one of the major journalistic
awards of the year and the only national award given to a journalistic
organization for overall extraordinary performance.
The Excellence in Journalism Award recognizes the outstanding work
of a journalistic organization and is sponsored by the Jackman Foundation
and The Canadian Journalism Foundation. The award embraces ideals
of democratic citizenship, rigorous professional practice, honesty,
accuracy, independence, public accountability and initiative as
well as artistry, clarity of style and high quality of presentation.
The Canadian Journalism Foundation is now seeking submissions from
media organizations across Canada.
