Ottawa Muslims Condemn Attacks in London

Ottawa, July 7, 2005

The following statement regarding the bombings in London was issued by Canadian Muslims in Ottawa:

"Canadians, irrespective of their faith or ethnic background, were horrified to watch the tragic events of London England. Canadian Muslims in Ottawa join all Canadians in unequivocally condemning the barbaric acts against innocent civilians. Such acts are in clear violations of fundamental Islamic principles and human values.

We wish to extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. We also pray that the perpetrators are swiftly apprehended and brought to justice."
