Fundraiser for the Canadian missions: Tastes of Heaven Gala, April 25, 2013
March 26, 2013
TORONTO - Here's an opportunity to get a 'taste of Heaven' at Catholic Missions In Canada's 2013 Tastes of Heaven Gala on April 25, 2013.
Canadian philanthropists Rudy and Cathy Bratty, John and Marie Di Poce, Robert and Andrea Chisholm, former Prime Minister John Turner, as well as Catholic business leaders have been invited to join guests at the fundraising dinner for the Canadian missions.
Cardinal Thomas Collins of Toronto will also greet guests at a special pre-dinner reception.
As well, Sister Sheila Fortune, C.S.J., one of our Canadian missionaries, will speak on the many challenges of the Church, ministering to those living in the far Northern reaches of Canada in the Diocese of Corner Brook and Labrador.
Catholic Missions In Canada was established in1908 to share the blessings of our faith in hard-to-reach missions in the North. That work continues today raising over $4 million each year to provide the sacraments and keep churches open in isolated and poor missions across Canada.
Our Tastes of Heaven Gala 2013 will be held on Thursday, April 25, at The Bellvue Manor, 8083 Jane Street, Vaughan, Ontario.
If you wish to join the Tastes of Heaven Gala, please call Patricia Gyulay at 416-934-3424, Ext. 227. You may also visit www.cmic.info, to find out more about the work of our missionaries.
