Day Care Operators Conference Will Focus On Supporting Children With Special Needs

The Association of Day Care Operators of Ontario (ADCO) will be hosting its annual fall conference this Friday, November 8 at the Delta Markham. The keynote presentation will begin at 1:30 pm, featuring Lisa Chiodo, Resource Teacher with Brampton-Caledon Community Living. Journalists wishing to cover the keynote and find out more about the work Ontarios independent licensed child care centres are doing to ensure their programs are open and inclusive of all children are welcome to attend.
The Association of Day Care Operators of Ontario is comprised of the owners/operators of independent licensed child care centres across the province. Some of its member centres are operated as small businesses and some as community-based not-for-profit corporations. ADCO Members include centre-based programs, nursery schools,preschools and school age operations, as well as licensed home child care agencies. It is estimated that independent
licensed child care centres account for over half of all of the licensed child care spaces in Ontario.
