The Standards Council of Canada (SCC), a Crown corporation, promotes standardization as a means of facilitating trade and safeguarding the health and safety of Canadians. As manager of the National Standards System, the SCC is involved in the development and application of national standards as well as the harmonization of standards and standardization practices in North America and internationally.
