Vancouver Hospital is a teaching and research hospital with four sites: Vancouver General Hospital, UBC Hospital, G.F. Strong Rehab Centre and George Pearson Centre. It serves British Columbia with all adult medical and surgical specialties. With 40,000 inpatient admissions, 80,000 emergency visits, and 1,400 beds on two sites it is one of the largest hospitals in Canada. Areas of research emphasis are oncology, neurosciences, trauma, and transplantation.
