Hong Kong Economic & Trade Office The HKETO represents the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in Canada, facilitating trade talks, trade-related matters with the Canadian government, and Canadian investment and business opportunities in Hong Kong. The office also provides inquiry services about Hong Kong and organizes trade, economic and public relations activities. Hong Kong's constitution, The Basic Law, embodies the concept of "One Country, Two Systems" and guarantees a high degree of autonomy in the daily administration of Hong Kong's internal affairs.
