Certified Management Accountants of Canada (CMA Canada) announces the 2011-12 Board of Directors

MISSISSAUAGA, ON (October 18, 2011) -- CMA Canada is pleased to announce the members of the 2011-12 board and extends a warm welcome to Cassandra Dorrington in her role as chair, and Lorri Lowe in her role as vice chair. The new board was approved at the CMA Canada Annual and Special General Meeting held this September in Toronto.

“I would like to extend my congratulations to all of the new and returning members of the CMA Canada National Board of Directors,” said Joy Thomas, president and CEO of CMA Canada, and secretary of the board. “This is a very exciting time for CMA Canada and I look forward to working with our directors to define the future of the accounting profession in Canada.”

CMA Canada is governed by a board of directors nominated from within the partnership. Board members establish and ensure successful execution of CMA Canada’s key strategies and goals. They also provide direction for the governance and management of CMA Canada affairs and represent the collective interests of all CMA members.
