Golf tournament a driving force for child nutrition

July 30, 2009

Canadian Feed The Children has been chosen as the charity of choice for Whistler′s 18th Annual Golf Tournament, to be held August 8, 2009 at Angus Glen Golf and Country Club, 10080 Kennedy Road, Markham, ON.

Following lunch on the terrace, play is on Angus Glen′s North Course with a shotgun start at 1:30 and the day finishes with a full dinner at Whistler′s Grille, 995 Broadview Ave, East York. All participants will enjoy a round of golf, a golf cart, lunch and dinner on event day. Cost is $195.00 per person or $780.00 for a foursome.

Excellent corporate sponsorship opportunities are still available. Proceeds from the event will benefit Canadian Feed The Children′s nourishment program for children affected by poverty in Canada and around the world. "A great day of golf on a beautiful course is made even better when you know you′re helping children get the food they need to be healthy," says Executive Director Jim Dahl. "We appreciate Whistler′s and the community′s help in making this event a big success for the children we serve."
