
Safe Drinking Water

Safe drinking water is the focus as more than 600 members of the Ontario Water Works Association (OWWA) and the Ontario Municipal Water Association (OMWA) gather for their Joint Annual Conference & Trade Show at Caesars Windsor, May 2-5, 2010.
'Investing in Today for Tomorrow" is the theme as industry leaders look ahead at the infrastructure and personnel necessary to meet the ever increasing consumer demand for safe drinking water in Ontario.
The opening plenary session Monday May 3rd 9 a.m. includes a keynote address by the Rt. Hon Herb Gray, former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada and former Canadian Chair of the International Joint Commission. John Stager, Ontario's Chief Drinking Water Inspector, will up-date the state of water quality in the province and provide some insight into provincial planning to ensure dafe drinking water.
Monday afternoon May 3rd and Tuesday May 4th will feature more than 50 technical presentations on issues related to the sourcing, treatment, distribution and conservation of our precious resource - drinking water.
