Science Teachers to Benefit
from Expanded Workshops in Canada

January 23, 2007

A popular summer camp for science teachers is growing to accommodate international participants. The “Einstein Plus Workshop on Modern Physics” at Perimeter Institute in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, is expanding to include 3 one-week sessions and accommodate up to 120 educators from across Canada and around the world.

The intensive workshops focus on key areas of modern physics including quantum physics, special and general relativity and cosmology. Sessions with PI Outreach workers and leading scientists explore cutting-edge ideas as well as how to share scientific information and the joy of discovery with students via PI's special classroom-tested materials.

This summer's Einstein Plus dates and application details are available online at www.einsteinplus.ca. For additional information, including media inquiries, please contact RenÉe Ellis at rellis@perimeterinstitute.ca or by phone at (519) 569-7600 ext. 5040

Canada's Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, located just outside Toronto, Ontario, is a non-profit scientific research and educational outreach organization dedicated to the understanding of space, time,
matter and information.
