ETOBICOKE ART STUDENT WINS FIRST SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED BY MAX THE MUTT ANIMATION SCHOOL March 31, 2004 Tabitha Fisher, a Grade 12 student currently attending the Etobicoke School of Arts, has been awarded the first Sean Michael Stewart memorial Arts & Animation Scholarship from Toronto's Max the Mutt Animation School. Tabitha describes herself as a visual storyteller, and animation is her medium of choice. Receiving this scholarship will allow her to pursue her dreams. Sean Stewart was instrumental in helping establish Max the Mutt Animation School as a diploma-granting career college. The scholarship bearing his name is based on talent, character and financial need, and will be awarded each year to a deserving incoming student who could not otherwise afford to attend. Max the Mutt Animation School, located at 952 Queen Street
West in the heart of the "art and design district" of
downtown Toronto, has a three-year diploma program teaching both
classical and computer animation. The school was recently featured
on CITY-TV's "Breakfast Television" and in Animation Magazine.
