Teleglobe is the main shareholder of the CANTAT 3 cable, the first SDH transatlantic cable, and will soon go ahead with CANUS 1, a privately owned cable shared by Teleglobe and its American partner, Optel. Teleglobe's cable and satellite based network circles the globe, linking Canada with more than 230 countries territories offering extensive intercontinental telecommunications capability.
