A New Name and a New Era

Brantford, October 24, 2012 The Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (OAMRT) has merged with The Ontario Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (OSDMS) and has become The Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (OAMRS). With this merger, two highly skilled professions are posed to continue to deliver high quality patient care as Members of the multidisciplinary care team.

The Association is determined to continue to be an independent, growing, and effective medical professional organization, that provides leadership, education and training opportunities through policy development, ethical governance, collaborations, and partnerships.

The Medical Radiation Sciences Profession in Ontario has moved into a new era with the inclusion of the Ultrasound professional group, which is symbolized through our new name, logo, and websites.
