Proudly Announce the 2009 MOTHER′S DAY WALK

Take a Short Walk to End Breast Cancer in the Long Runâ„¢

Mother′s Day Weekend: May 9th and 10th, 2009: The Breast Cancer Society of Canada and cleo, will team up again this year for a nationwide Mother′s Day Walk throughout malls across Canada.

For the 7th consecutive year, cleo will partner with the Breast Cancer Society of Canada (BCSC) for this exciting annual event. The BCSC held their first walk in Point Edward, Ontario in 1991 and with the support and partnership of cleo - the walk has blossomed into a national event raising in excess of $442,000 over the past 6 years.

"BCSC was established to raise funds for Canadian research into improving the detection, prevention and treatment of breast cancer, says Marsha Davidson, Executive Director, BCSC. "We truly believe that every dollar donated to research brings us one step closer to the ultimate goal of finding the causes of breast cancer and the cleo partnership with BCSC plays an integral role in our fundraising efforts," she continues. "cleo and their supportive and generous customers are truly making an impact on people′s lives with the Mothers Day Walk."

The 7th annual Mother′s Day Walk will be held at 83 cleo mall/plaza locations across Canada. Pledge sheets will be available at stores and from the BCSC office in Sarnia, Ontario. You can also download a pledge form online or make a pledge at www.mothersdaywalk.ca.
